Caitlyn Jenner Still Being Snubbed By The Kardashians: The Controversial Truth - The Inquisitr

Caitlyn Jenner, heralded as an inspiration to the world (and especially the LGBT community) when she underwent a gender reassignment procedure in March 2015, has been noticeably absent from the pop culture scene for the past few months, and it is mainly because Jenner has been on the outs with her oh-so-famous brethren, the Kardashians.

But why exactly have Kim and her sisters been snubbing Caitlyn Jenner, one of the most influential and well-loved figures of the 21st century? The reason may shock you, as it is based in some very controversial comments that may or may not involve transphobia on the part of Caitlyn’s ex-wife, Kris Jenner.

The bad blood between Caitlyn Jenner and the Kardashian clan is actually a result of several comments Caitlyn made about Kris Jenner way back in an issue of Vanity Fair published in July 2015. In the story written about her recent transition, Caitlyn pointed out that Kris had been supportive of her when she had still been the family’s primary bread winner, but she had begun to treat Caitlyn with a lot less kindness after Kris joined the Keeping Up with the Kardashians cast and began to rake in a ton of money herself.

“The first 15 years I felt [Kris] needed me more because I was the breadwinner. Then, really around [the time of KUWTK], when that hit and she was running the whole show and getting credit for it and she had her own money, she didn’t need me as much from that standpoint,” Caitlyn Jenner told Vanity Fair at the time. “I think in a lot of ways she became less tolerant of me. A lot of times she wasn’t very nice. People would see how I got mistreated. She controlled the money, all that kind of stuff.”

Was Kris’s lessened treatment of Caitlyn due to homophobia? True, Jenner was still a male at that point, but maybe Kris was catching on to her sexual orientation. Or, maybe equally as bad, did Kris just cast Caitlyn aside to some degree once she herself no longer needed financial support?

Either way, Caitlyn painted Kris as either a bigot or a gold digger in the Vanity Fair piece, and the Kardashian girls took it rather hard.

So hard, in fact, that, to this day, they are still mad at Caitlyn, who never apologized for what she implied.

“All three sisters feel there should have been an ‘I’m sorry’ moment from Caitlyn” after the former athlete’s 2015 Vanity Fair cover story in which the Kardashians felt Caitlyn, 66, threw their mom, Kris Jenner, under the bus,” an anonymous source told Us Weekly in a recent report.

The source went on that it is especially difficult for Caitlyn Jenner to get back in the good graces of the group when she still has beef with Kim, the unspoken leader of the famous family.

“Kim is not as close to Caitlyn anymore; she was after she first transitioned but as things came out and Caitlyn stayed unapologetic, the relationship got more and more strained. Because of how things played out with Bruce and with Caitlyn, she is reluctant to have a serious relationship with Caitlyn.”

The Kardashians’ ongoing beef with Caitlyn Jenner is further detailed in a much-quoted article that recently appeared in People which adds that the controversial feud has only brought the Kardashians even closer to Kris Jenner.

Many sources point out that another piece of evidence backing up the Kardashians’ current distaste for Caitlyn Jenner is that they did not invite her over on Fathers Day, although it is unclear why they would treat her differently than any other day when Caitlyn is now a woman.

Looking back on the Vanity Fair comments that sparked this whole controversy, do you think the Kardashians are being fair to Caitlyn Jenner? Or should they bury the hatchet and readmit Caitlyn into the fold?
