Caitlyn Jenner has mourned a friend who tragically died during a motorcycle accident over the weekend.

The reality TV star shared a brief eulogy to Charles T. Aaron following his death, including pictures from a memorial service held this week in his honour.

She sent her prayers to Charles' father Chuck, and added that the poor parent has "lost his best friend".

She wrote: "Sad day yesterday. My good friend Charles lost his life on Sunday. My prayers go out to his father @chuckpaaron who lost his best friend."

Caitlyn shared three images from the memorial service, including a picture of mourners gathered to remember to late helicopter pilot.

His dad Chuck shared a video of his son's "last flight" at the service, and paid tribute to a "gentle giant".

"My son's last flight (here on earth). He was such a gentle giant AND my best friend! I love you Charles! You will be in my thoughts everyday for the rest of my life. I was so proud of you," he wrote.

Earlier in the week, Charles' dad revealed the sad news and revealed they used to fly together.

"We worked everyday together, we flew all over the U.S. Together in a helicopter, in all kinds of wx. We saw the most beautiful places and most wonderful things together," he wrote.

"We shared our lives together almost everyday. God gave us a wonderful time together. Now he is with Him forever. I love you son. R.I. P. In heaven. God please show him favor, I'll be with you again someday. I love you son and will miss you!"
