About half of all states are suing the Obama administration’s directive to protect transgender students.
President Obama has threatened to withhold federal funding from schools that do not allow transgender students to use the bathrooms and locker rooms that align with their gender identities.
In April, Trump said North Carolina was “paying a big price” for its controversial bathroom law that required transgender people to use public restrooms that correspond with their biological sex.
