When Caitlyn Jenner needs fashion advice, she knows just who to turn to.
Kim Kardashian West is known for her daring and glamorous red carpet looks, so when it came time for Jenner to attend the ESPY awards, she called on Kardashian West to help her find the perfect dress.
“She wanted advice on what to wear,” Kardashian West told PEOPLE at an exclusive Moët & Chandon-sponsored launch party for the upcoming REVOLVEman x CLOT capsule collaboration at the REVOLVE house in the Hamptons on Saturday. “She gave me three days and said, ‘Can you get me something?’ I looked online. I shopped all over.”
Kardashian West, 35, admitted that it was a challenge to find Jenner a dress that was long enough, so she opted to call one of her designer friends to get a custom made dress.
“I called Michael Costello. He was on Project Runway, so he has a studio in L.A. So he whipped up five things in two seconds,” she explained. “I sent her measurements. And she wore this white number.”
And while Kardashian West couldn’t have been happier with the gown, she didn’t agree with all of Jenner’s fashion choices for the night.
“She wanted to accessorize it super crazy. I had to step in. I didn’t approve the shoes,” she said. “We’ve got to get Caitlyn some new shoes. It’s hard out there.”

But aside from the ESPYs, Kardashian West said she’s been able to bond with Jenner over their shared love of fashion, saying it’s “so fun” to talk clothes with her.
“Really everything [looks good on her]. She’s super slim. She definitely likes to be age appropriate. But then she’ll like really short things,” she said. “She seems to love clothes.”
